Richard Nadler who runs the
American Majority Foundation has written an article in National Review that makes a practical argument that conservatives should support Comprehensive Immigration Reform.
Nadler's article titled
At What Cost is hard to find on the National Review site but is available on his foundation site as an Adobe pdf download. Nadler points out that candidates that oppose immigration reform have been regularly defeated, that businessmen support immigration reform and that demographics favor the party of immigrants. He also suggest that a compromise is possible. His conclusion: "Every hour that we postpone a border reform that respects the interests of employers and Hispanics, our entire agenda suffers."
